Totally in love with this movie. Caught me offguard today when I just happened to switch to this channel. And the fact that they played some OG Radiohead earned it some extra points. It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a movie in this way.
Anyways this past weekend I got a lot of the birthday party stuff done and we had an appointment with the Hyatt to finalize on some things. I just have to figure out some last minute things and we should be set. Still have to order the cake and then do a tasting.....get some pictures printed out and then framed for the party. I think for the most part that should be it.
We got the pictures back from the photoshoot - they turned out sooo cute! I have to post some previews but I'm not on the right computer.
So many things are going on but at least the party things are almost done.....
And Colin got his first haircut today. He was such a good baby and he didn't even cry! He looks so different already with just a a little bit of a trim. He looks like a big boy already. =( He's growing so fast!!!

Little Gym
Colin at play at the class he's been taking. He's playing with his bells to the ryhthm of the songs.....or at least that's what he's supposed to be doing. hmmm....well he will be doing ...uh soon.... these are shots of his first class with daddy and mommy. Last week we went to the intro class - this should be good for him. He already has made some friends. Leah, Connor, Julia....
Colin dressing up in his hanbok for his 1st birthday. Auntie Mishy had gotten him this outfit when she found out that he was born almost one year ago. She was in Korea at the time and brought it back for him as a present. I think she did a great job finding one that has pretty colors~ Photographs pretty well. We should be able to take some really great shots with this next week when JJ come to take some shots of Colin at play. =) Hopefully we get a lot of good shots to show off at his birthday party!
BTW getting an infant passport is quite an ordeal. Make sure you have a copy of the birth certificate (which we had never requested at ths time he was born....) SO now we have to go get one at the county just to apply for the passport....and then we have to go and get his picture taken and both parents have to be present to apply for the passport also. Oh dear. Maybe we'll have to keep our vacation within the country this year......

Birthday Party Update
Invites are going out this week. If I ever get to finishing them on time.
M did such a good job designing them...we had a little hiccup with the invites and the envelopes, but I think that I found a good fix for that and so now they should be going out with little SIMPson stamps. kekeke
I did a sample Pompom in Turquoise and it looks really cute so I think the color scheme also went well thanks to M
Yea!! Things are coming together now....we have a little bit more than a month left. Whew!

Angels Game
Took Colin to his first Angles game. Little buddy Ty was nice enough to get him his first rally monkey. Perhaps one of these days he will know what that really is..... hmmmm. =)

i know my mommy...
this morning - just like any other morning.
Colin still has a juicy cough and he crawls all over the place - he likes pillows. he finds a pillow, lays down on it and gets up and smiles. he proceeds to do this a dozen times and then he finally crawls to a readily available parental unit.
For the first time ever....as I was leaving to go to work...Colin looks at me and starts to cry and tries to push away from the babysitter to come to me...HEART BROKEN. he never had acknowledged me as his mom before today. I mean I know that he knows - but he never really minded being with anyone else. This morning was the day. =(
love the new humidifier. pricey but nice. plus protects against bacteria and fungus growth. nice!! especially since the Graco one pooped out before we even had ever used it.

Colin has been sick with an ear infection - had a 103 fever that wasn't bugding so we had to take matters to the dr. Luckily he's much better now and he's taking his omnicef like a semi good boy. Hates the flavor - but I can't see why. That stuff has so much sugary stuff that it's just completely sticky all over after I feed him the meds. Bad thing is that he came down with a cough and some major mucous - so no mommy and me classes until he's all better. Had to cancel until he's cleared healthwise.
family bbq sunday. Ordered all the food. A lot of food - hope everyone can finish it. It should be fun to see everyone.
Saturday is crafting day. Going to buy some supplies and add to the major mess we have at home. Why is it there's just never enough space??
Sophie came in the mail today. A little bittersweet....happy to see the new gal but reminded of the loss of the old one. =( Some bratty kid probably stole it. I hope he gets sick like Colin. hehehe

Baby Weight
Still working on shedding the baby weight. Stubborn little fat cells - let me tell you. BUT I haven't really been working on anything either so I can't really complain. Had a taste of homemaker yesterday. Was really glad to be at work today.
Made an appointment to meet with an event planner for the party. We'll see how that goes.
BTW: %^&$ your phone. I can't care. I want an iphone. hahahaha
Have to lose the weight if we're going to go on the vacay. Not sure if we will be going, but just in case.....gotta hit those weights. =T

To shave or not to shave
So that is the question.
Do you think it really makes a difference? I think it's just an old superstition but any input as to whether it really helps??

First Birthday
So we were debating on whether to throw him the ever illustrious birthday party, but it seems that we will be giving him baby wedding afterall. We're going to have to limit it to the family members and then invite some straggling friends here and there after the B list comes into play. Seriously this is a big production.
- I've got a venue narrowed down. already put on hold
- Guest List is still pending but for the most part - all ready to go. + invitations
- Photographer - CHECK
- Balloons
- Rice Cake - Maybe Check
- Kids Favors
- head table decor
- baby's outfit because the one that we have won't fit
- flowers
- plus a myriad of other items that I have to figure out still and probably add to this...
Learning the ropes
Who knew that baby products were such a huge market?? I have been so overwhelmed with all the organics and tools of raising the baby - also considering that I don't have all that much time to research all the fine and dandy new fangled items out there. Now that Colin's 9 months old, I feel like I missed out on so much of his little milestones - so in the end I just feel really guilty and try to make it up by buying things to make up for it. (Not a good way to go I know...)
So the newest thing that we have been looking for is the foam pad for the ever so luring crawling stage of Colin's life. It's the size of a pretty good size area rug - and it's double sided and just really soft foam with nice bright colors and pictures and words. Some of them may be a little on the fobby side, but it's a great thing for little babies! The ones that I saw at Toys R Us weren't as thick and soft, so I was definitely leaning more towards the Korean ones. Think ultra thick and soft flip flop foam pads. hahaha
Colin isn't really crawling just yet, but he started just pretty stationary, trying to perfect the stance on all fours - and he did that pretty quickly...then came the rocking. Needlesstosay, he's quite professional at that. He's still yet to learn that he can lift the knees and hands to really mobilize, but he's doing the push-up crawl. I'm sure most of you moms know exactly what I'm talking about. He's getting quite good at it too - so it's definitely time to start baby proofing the house.
So the Korean baby play pad it was - perfect for those face plants while learning to walk and crawl. So - the possibilities are endless when you're in KTOWN in LA, but since I'm in the OC technically and PV doesn't really constitute LA - I was really stuck on where to find one of those pads. BUT 'Lo and Behold!! GG isn't so bad after all!! My mom actually had to check out a few different places, but she finally found one that I was extremely happy with and for a fair price! I had heard that the "good ones" from LG could be anywhere from 200-300 dollars. BUT this one was great and maybe half that cost of those really nice ones. =) NICE! Thanks Grandma!!
IN the meanwhile, Colin is recovering from an ear infection and a bad reaction to his antibiotics. Poor thing. He hates his meds too. =( Poor baby Colin. He's still not even on the charts for his height/weight - although his head size is like 60%. hahaha He has a big head. Hmmm must run in the family. kk
